2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 4,400 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 7 years to get that many views.

I don’t know about any other WordPress users but I found this whole things interesting. I also found it funny and sad that no blog posts relating to my writing were in my top viewed blogs…and that good people pisses me off.

  1. I think I had a similar reaction. It’s a bit sad to see that the posts that made the top 5 are not even close to being my favorites, and that whenever I write something I believe to be interesting no one comment on it, but when I post some rant of some sort I get a lot of views, likes, comments, and all that. But all in all it’s fun to see what draws attention, what people find interesting.
Here’s to an inspiring year full of great stories to write. Cheers!
